Mithibai College students take Kshitij fest to children in Tata Memorial Hospital

With the aim to brighten up the lives of children waging a battle against cancer, Mithibai College's cultural festival Kshitij and Life Wins organised an interactive program for the cancer patients at Parel's Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) on September 25 at the Choksi Auditorium.

According to the college students, they wanted to let the patients know that this was not their battle alone and that people around them are always there to support them throughout the journey.

Over 100 patients from TMH between the ages of four to 18, along with their caretakers participated in the event which included included an orchestra, dance and magic performances. The event concluded with the distribution of a goodie bag which consisted of a stationery pouch, sponge ball and fidget spinner.

Members of Kshitij ensured that the children received the care they needed during the most difficult phase of their lives. It stood out as a distinguished organisation that enriches lives with tender love and care. Chairperson of Kshitij, Jenil Shah, said, "Innocence is the most compelling virtue of kids and this makes them resilient and strong. Mithibai's Kshitij wanted to be a ray of sunshine for the children, and we did."

Mithibai College's cultural festival, Kshitij, will be held for four days from December 7 to 10 this year. Dr Rajpal Shripat Hande, principal, Mithibai College, said, "Working towards a social cause truly reflects the potential and motive of Mithibai's Kshitij, and promotes team spirit. I wish them all the best for their future plans."
