Minor patient molested by ward boy at Vikhroli

The Vikhroli police on Wednesday arrested a ward boy working with a private hospital for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old admitted there.

Ajinkya Gamre, 20, was arrested after the girl alleged that Gamre molested her when she was fast asleep. "The minor on Wednesday morning told her parents that she did not want to be treated at the hospital. When her parents asked why, she narrated the incident, following which a complaint was registered with us. We have arrested the accused," said DM Desai, senior PI, Vikhroli police station.

Police have booked Gamre under IPC section 354 (assault with intent to outrage modesty) and section 8 (sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
