At least 1.89lakh students out of a total of registered 1.94 lakh appeared for the MH-CET entrance examination held for the health science courses across Maharashtra on Thursday. According to sources, the exams were conducted smoothly at all the centres.

Ekta Patil, who appeared for MH-CET today, said, "This year, the examination was very easy. I didn't find any error in the questions. Since there is no negative marking this year, students will benefit to a large extent. The questions were very straight and not equation based. I feel the merit may go up to 185 this year."

Sonal Prabhu, another student, said, "It was quite easy. Logical questions were asked in physics. Since the questions set were easy, it may shoot up the merit this year. I am not sure but I felt that there were a couple of errors in physics. But in Biology, there was definitely one error in the optional diagram question based on chromosomes."

Pravin Shingare, director, Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), said, "The examination went smoothly across the state. There was no complaint from any of the centres or about any error. Once the question paper is uploaded on the website, students have enough time to bring in complaints."
