Masterminds of 26/11 attacks must be hanged in public, says Maruti Phad

Maruti Phad, 40, who worked as a personal assistant and driver to the then Principal Secretary, Medical Education and Drugs Department had left his home to pick up the Secretary near St Xavier's College at Fort. At this unfortunate moment, he suffered two bullet injuries after mowing down Ajmal Kasab and his accomplice who were firing indiscriminately near the same area.

Phad drove back towards the wrong side for at least 50 meters when the terrorists fired bullets at him.

"I suffered two bullets on my hands but kept driving backwards. I am lucky that I survived. But now I want Hafiz Saeed and his accomplices to be brought back in India and hanged to death," said Phad.

"The masterminds should be hanged publicly so that the terrorists must get a strong message that we will not deal with terror attacks lightly," he said.
