Mashable joins hands with India.com for India arm

Mashable, one of global leaders in technology and digital media content, is all set to make India as its next stop. It has tied up with India.com Web Portal Limited, a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation (PMC) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, to launch Mashable India.

Mashable, one of global leaders in technology and digital media content, is all set to make India as its next stop. It has tied up with India.com Web Portal Limited, a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation (PMC) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, to launch Mashable India.

India.com Web Portal currently publishes original content destinations that include BGR.in, CricketCountry.com, BollywoodLife.com, TheHealthSite.com, Prepsure.com, BrownPaperBag.in, and traffic-leading portal India.com – all together India.com properties reach out to over 45 million unique visitors per month.

"We believe that the combination of Mashable and India.com will provide a unique content destination curated for India's fast growing online generation," said Punit Goenka, MD & CEO, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. According to an official spokesperson, Mashable India will launch in the first half of this year. Upon launch, Mashable India will be accessed through Mashable.in. "We will also look to leverage India.com's strength in generating original content for Indian audiences and its widespread reach in the Indian digital space. India is one of Mashable's top five global markets and we want to grow multi-fold from here."

Mashable India will have an editorial team based in New Delhi and Mumbai for localised content to serve the ever growing and connected Indian audiences. Mashable will offer the best global coverage from Mashable.com and augment it with extensive editorial coverage from India. Mashable India will also leverage the audience reach of India.com network properties.
