The cyber crime cell arrested a 49-year-old Marol resident for e-mailing nude pictures of his sister-in-law to her husband and other members of the family.

According to the police, the victim had started a business in 2010 along with her sister-in-law. As per the complainant, on December 31, 2013, two unknown persons had barged into her house, stripped her and shot her nude pictures according to the police. Surprisingly, no complaint was registered at that time, suggesting that there could be more to the story than the police already know.

Around ten days later, the victim's husband and other members of the family received these nude pictures from an unknown email ID. The victim's husband also received obscene, abusive and threatening text messages from another bogus ID created by the arrested suspect.

Again on September 21, this year, relatives received the photograph through post.

Finally on October 31 this year, the victim lodged a belated complaint, stating that they suspect someone from their family to be behind this act.

The Internet Protocol address that was used to create the email to send nude photograph turned out to be that of the victim's brother-in-law. On Friday the police seized two laptops, two mobile phones, camera and pen drive of the suspect.

"We are questioning the suspect to ascertain why he had committed this act. Also we are trying to find out about the two persons who had forcibly shot the nude pictures after barging into the victim's," an investigating officer told dna.
