Marathi movie piracy: Office superintendent of censor board summoned

The Mumbai cyber police station investigating the alleged piracy case registered by producer/director of Marathi movie ' Dr Prakash Amte, The Real Hero', has summoned the Office Superintendent of the Censor Board in Mumbai. In her complaint, the producer/director alleged that the leaked print of the movie available on the internet is the same which she had submitted to the Censor Board.

Deputy Commissioner Of Police (Detection) Dhananjay Kulkarni said: "We have called the Office Superintendent of Censor Board office in Mumbai for clearing a few things. In the complaint registered with us, it has been alleged that the print was leaked from Censor Board, and hence, we want to make some inquiries."

Two days ago, Samruddhi Porey, director/producer of Marathi movie 'Dr Prakash Amte, The Real Hero' had registered a complaint of piracy with Mumbai Police.

Porey had alleged that the movie, which has been running successfully in theaters, was available on movie downloading site Etorrent. She further alleged that the print of the movie, which is available online, is the same which she had submitted to the Censor Board, as per the rule.

The Mumbai police had registered a case against an unknown person and had launched an investigation in the case.
