Manjula Shetye case: Court hears bail plea

The defence advocate appearing for the jail officers who are accused in the death case of jail warden Manjula Shetye, on Tuesday initiated with the arguments on the bail applications of Bindu Naikode, Waseema Shaikh and Surekha Gurdev. The defence held that the accused were arrested in the case just due to the public outcry and the jail ruckus which took place after the death of Shetye. 

The Defence claimed that even the post mortem reports were allegedly fabricated and this was done just to pacify the situation. 

It also claimed that the CD of the CCTV footages which the prosecution had submitted was purposely muted so as the defence remains clueless. The allegation was denied by the prosecution. The argument on the bail application will be continued on Wednesday.
