Man who lost three-month-old daughter, wife blames Shitap

Lalit Thakk, who lost his mother, wife and three-month-old daughter has blamed Sena leader Sunil Shitap for the incident. Thakk who was staying on the third floor of the building had dropped his son to college on Tuesday morning and had returned home to get ready to go to work. While he was getting ready, he heard someone screaming to leave the building because it is going to collapse.

"I took my three-month-old daughter and gave her to my wife telling her to go downstairs immediately. As they headed towards the door, a part of our room cracked and my daughter, mother and wife were trapped under the debris. I still do not understand how I survived," said a devastated Lalit Thakk.

Rescue team found the bodies of Thakk's wife and daughter while his mother's body was not found till Tuesday night.

Thakk blamed Shitap for his loss and demanded the government to punish him. "I have lost my family just because of Shitap's greed. He carried out these illegal construction and used his power just to earn money. Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray should look into the matter and should not consider people like Shitap. I demand the government to hang Shitap because of whom my daughter who had not even seen the world lost her life," Thakk said.
