A 24-year-old man was arrested by the Kherwadi police for allegedly stalking a school girl. The accused, identified as Santosh Mishra, was arrested on Sunday after the victim’s father accused Mishra of expressing bad intentions against his daughter. Mishra was granted bail by the court.
According to the Kherwadi police, Mishra had been tracking the victim’s online activities since a few months and was also allegedly stalking her via social media. The girl started receiving messages from Mishra who tried to befriend.
“Mishra was also messaging many other things to the girl and when she revealed the same to her father, he decided to confront Mishra so that he maintains distance from his daughter. Instead the duo had a minor scuffle after which the father registered a complaint at Kherwadi police station on Saturday. Mishra was booked under section 354 (d) of the IPC,” the police said.
