Man held for duping govt job aspirants

Mumbai Crime Branch Unit 11 has arrested a 45-year-old man for allegedly duping over 60 job aspirants for several lakhs of rupees by promising them government jobs. The accused has been identified as Lalit Omprakash Sawant.

According to the police, the accused would pose as an Assistant Commissioner of Police and with his touts target people who are searching government jobs. "We arrested Sawant from Virar. We found the police uniform from his car," said Isar Tamboli, DCP (detection 2).
