A case has been registered against the manager of a healthcare company after he sent lewd messages to a 24-year-old woman on LinkedIn, a social media platform meant for professionals. The accused, identified as 35-year-old Prakas Bist, allegedly asked the woman to get intimate with him in return for money.

According to the Saki Naka police, the accused befriended the woman on the social media site before harassing her by sending objectionable content via messages. The police said the woman received a message from the accused on Thursday morning, demanding sexual favours from her in return for money and also said that he will give her more "clients". She took screenshots of the messages and tweeted it to Mumbai Police's official Twitter handle. The police directed her to Saki Naka police station to lodge a complaint.

"A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of Information Technology Act and the Indian Penal Code. Our probe is on to track down the accused," said Avinash Dharmadhikari, senior police inspector, Saki Naka police station.
