Maharashtra Transport minister Diwakar Raote's son reportedly got into an argument with a traffic constable late Tuesday night, outside Hinduja Hospital, Mahim. Traffic cops on duty suspected that the minister's son was under the influence of alcohol when they saw him standing against his car.

The argument took place when cops went on to talk to him, suspecting he intended to drive the car himself. He was also reportedly asked to take the breathalyser test. After a Police sub-Inspector intervened, the matter was resolved and the minister's son was let off.

No case has been registered with Mahim police station or the traffic department in connection with the incident.
