The Maharashtra Federation Of Junior College Teachers' Organisation (MFJCTO), who are currently observing a non-cooperation movement by correcting only one answer paper of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) every day,  are now threatening to completely boycott paper correction.

Almost 72,000 junior college teachers from across the state are going to participate in the boycott. The junior college teachers have made several demands to Maharastra's Education Department. Some of the demands are that teachers appointed to work in schools since 2012-13 should be given approval and salary by the state government, the shikshan sevak teachers should be brought under government scale (should be paid proper salary as per government norms), HSC board examination of science and maths should be conducted according to the old pattern. It also includes requests to make the subject of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) aided and give ICT teachers proper salary, as well as separating the administration of junior and degree college.

Anil Deshmukh, President of MFJCTO, said, "The education minister earlier had promised us that before March 6 he will meet the finance minister and discuss about our demands. But we have not heard anything about it yet. We are not even able to meet him. The government is not thinking about 15 lakh students future and even no sympathy for 72,000 teachers. Hence, we will hold a rally from Marine Lines station till Azad maidan on March 16. Even after that if government doesn't listen to our demands, we will boycott paper correction completely from March 17. And so there could be delay in result of HSC board exam for which the government will be responsible."
