Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday showed willingness to help Captain Amol Yadav to start manufacturing facility for indigenous 6-seater and 19-seater aircrafts at Palghar. The state government will provide 157 acres of land in the district for this first of its kind project.

Yadav who has promoted Thrust Aircraft Private Limited company for manufacturing air-crafts made a presentation to Fadnavis on Monday. Officials of the Chief Minister's office, Konkan divisional commissioner Prabhakar Deshmukh, revenue department principal secretary Manukumar Srivastav and Palghar district collector Abhijit Bangar were present.

Yadav's small 6-seater aircraft was the center of attraction during the Make In India exhibition held at Bandra-Kurla complex last year. Chief Minister Fadnavis had assured him every possible help to realise his dream of manufacturing aircrafts in Mumbai. Yadav was also lauded by President Pranab Mukherjee at the Hyderabad exhibition which was held soon after the one in Mumbai.

Directing the revenue officials to start procedure for providing land to Yadav's company, Fadnavis said that the state government was ready to cooperate with the company since this is first of its kind project in the country. Fadnavis said that state government would write a letter to the Prime Minister's office and follow up on getting sanction for the project.

Yadav informed that the trials for the 6-seater aircraft had been successful and said that he would be starting the project for 19-seater aircrafts. Yadav informed that with these small aircrafts, passenger traffic could be started at 30 airports without any additional infrastructure.
