Maharashtra government failed to help farmers: NCP

The NCP has alleged that the BJP-led government has failed to help the troubled farmers in the state. Recently, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis refused to announce a complete loan waiver to farmers stating that his government would rather work for long-term solutions than giving short-term benefits. Reacting to this, NCP state president Sunil Tatkare said in the state council that Fadnavis was misinformed about farm loan waiver. "If the government failed to help the troubled farmers, they will be in a vulnerable situation," said Tatkare.
