Maharashtra government accepts recommendations of Lad-Page committee

The recommendations of the committee were so far applicable for the health department. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has now announced that it would be applied to other departments as well.

The state government on Tuesday decided to accept the recommendations of Lad-Page committee on the recruitment of conservancy staff in various departments. The committee has recommended giving priority to the legal heirs or sons/daughters of the conservancy staff while recruiting employees for this department.

The recommendations of the committee were so far applicable for the health department. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has now announced that it would be applied to other departments as well.

Fadnavis informed that the recommendations were not implemented in the health department and this was creating problems while going for recruitment. He added that there are a few cases pending before the Bombay high court since it has stayed it. The chief minister has given directions to the law and judiciary department to go for appeal in the pending cases.
