Maharashtra: First PMAY lottery in Nashik slated to be held next month

The Nashik homes are priced at Rs 9.60 lakh, and a subsidy of Rs 2.5 lakh shall be applicable on each home.

The first lottery for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna in the state will be held in June, with 448 homes up for grabs — 248 in Aurangabad and about 300 in Nashik. The Nashik homes are priced at Rs 9.60 lakh, and a subsidy of Rs 2.5 lakh shall be applicable on each home.

The total amount to be paid while applying for the lottery is Rs 5,000 and stamp duty will be a mere Rs 1,000. Normally stamp duty is five per cent of the total flat cost, however, the state government recently said that it will charge Rs 1,000 for every PMAY home.

The 1BHK homes are sized at 304.14 sq ft plus 24.21 sq ft of balcony. "Registration for all homes has to be done by May 31 and the lottery for the Nashik is being held on June 8," said a senior PMAY official.

The Nashik project comprises parking-plus-seven storey RCC structure buildings. Each building has a society office, three lifts and two stair cases. The first payment installment will be Rs 1.50 lakh, while the last and seventh installment will include of Rs 55,000 with GST.
