Fifty-year anniversary celebrations are near approaching for Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE). The board plans to provide hall tickets for students appearing for board exams via online.

When is the golden jubilee?
The state board is all set to celebrate the golden jubilee on January 1, 2015. Recently, the divisional boards had meetings with their newly elected board members, where they not only discussed about their roles in the office but also exchanged ideas of celebrating the golden jubilee year.

How do they plan to celebrate?
Krishnakumar Patil, secretary, state board, Pune, said, "Yes! The board is celebrating 50 years on January 1, 2015. We are planning to call and felicitate former board members. One of the suggestion that needs to be looked into is issuing hall tickets for both SSC and HSC board exams online to avoid any errors."

What did the board say?
GK Mhamane, chairman, MSBSHSE, Pune, said, "Two years back, we had initiated a pilot project of online exam form submission only for the October exams because less students appear for it. Similarly for the October exams, we did introduce the online hall tickets for HSC students. Now, we have decided to issue hall tickets to SSC and HSC students for next year February and March exams."

Principalspeaks
Narendra Pathak, principal of SK Somaiya Vinay Mandir, said, "I am not aware that the hall tickets for HSC students for the October exams were issued online. But I have heard that the board is planning to start online hall tickets provision for SSC and HSC students from next year exams. It is a welcome move and soon everything will move online."

Anila Pillai, vice principal of HR College, said, "It is a welcome move that the board will start providing hall tickets online. Initially, there would be some glitches similar to that faced during the online admission. But eventually it will go smooth once started."
