The Bhoiwada magistrate court on Wednesday, for the third time, issued a summons against Nalasopara MLA Kshitij Thakur in a private complaint filed against him by an RTI activist, Santosh Daundkar, for allegedly hurling abuses on an on-duty traffic policeman in March 2013. The court has directed Thakur to remain present before the court on June 17.
Advocate Abha Singh, appearing on behalf of Daundkar, confirmed to dna that this is the third time the court has issued a summons to Thakur. She added that because the first two summons lapsed, the court has now asked the complainant to hand over the summons directly to the accused.
