Lawyer Rasila Divyakant Mehta has written a book on mouth-watering vegetarian feasts. Mehta’s love for cooking was inspired by her mother, Manjulaben Navalchand Parekh. Under her mother’s guidance and her innate love for food, she soon became an excellent cook who could create any dish with perfection.

She started creating dishes from across the globe, including American, Spanish and Italian amongst others. Mehta is frequently consulted by the younger generation on recipes and tips on food. While she was constantly coaxed by her family and friends to write a cook book, she finally wrote a book on delicious food by penning recipes close to her heart. The book is titled, “Rasila nu Rajawadi Rasodu” (Rasila’s Rajawadi Kitchen).

The book is a collection of around 200 vegetarian recipes. The recipes are easy to understand and nicely described and include dishes from across India, such as Gujarati, Maharashtrian, Marwari, Punjabi and South Indian preparations. It contains recipes for breakfast and snacks. The book has been published in English and Gujarati and will be inaugurated by Rasila’s 92-year-old mother, on Saturday.
