The daughter of the accused who had gone on a killing spree in a JJ colony in West Delhi's Khyala area on Wednesday night told the police that her father would keep a bad eye on her and would even pass lewd remarks. The incident occurred two years ago when the girl was a minor and the police have registered a case under sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

While many in the neighbourhood watched the accused going on a killing spree, none came forward to help as they feared the accused would harm them as well. As per neighbours and locals, the accused had a sour relationship with his wife and he had only moved back around two years ago from Mumbai. "He looked at women in the area in a weird manner and often picked up fights in the locality over petty issues. In fact, he would instigate people to engage in fights. On January 14, he had a huge fight with his wife and everyone in the area could hear them. His wife had asked him not to play loud music and he started abusing her and fought with her. Later, he also threatened to kill three women in the area, out of which he did kill one who was his neighbour," said a woman neighbour who did not wish to be named as she claimed that the accused wanted to kill her as well.

Women in the area also stated that at times he would leave his house door open and stand naked inside the house. His daughter told the police that he would pass lewd remarks at her. The accused was a dominating character in the area and had problems with people parking their cars outside his house.
