Despite heavy rain, the 10th anniversary show of Bipin R Pandit's Khumaar held on July 2 witnessed a full house. The audience loved the segmentation of the show like solo, duets, qawwalis and another highlight, Khummar ki Khoj — which was done with a view to launch a talented youngster. Some of the plans for the next year are introduction of new segment like regional songs, classical songs and new songs.
Talking about the event, ad guru, TV & film actor Bharat Dabholkar said: "I had the pleasure of attending another installment of Bipin Pandit's Khumaar and I feel it is getting better with every passing year. Bipin is encouraging young talent and all his established signers sing extremely well. Bipin's compering skills & his very witty informal chat with the audience intersperse with Urdu Shayari & entertaining tadka of hilarious mimicry of Bollywood stars makes it a very enjoyable experience. I had a great time."
Rana Barua, CEO of Contract India, who also attended the event, said: "A truly delightful & enchanting musical evening.
