Popular music group Khumaar, which has been enthralling Mumbaikars since 2006, will be performing in the city on February 5 at the Manik Sabhagriha Auditorium, Bandra.
A group of 18 people — Khumaar — renders yesteryears’ hit Hindi songs sung by stalwarts such as Mohammad Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Mukesh, Asha Bhonsle, Hemant Kumar, and Manna Dey in multiple languages. Founder Bipin R Pandit said “Since the last two years a special segment is devoted to Khumaar Ki Khoj whereby we identify a young talent and offer them the Khumaar platform to perform.”
According to Pandit, the idea was to invite all music lovers to engage with quality entertainment. “It will provide them the much needed relaxation from their punishing schedules,” he said.
Khumaar’s previous outing in the city in July last year saw more than 700 music lovers in attendance.
