The bank Khan broke into is on the first floor of Pinky Plaza building on 5th Road in Khar.

“Khan inspected the place carefully for a week and on Sunday around 3.30am, he removed the window grille and entered the bank. He tried to break into the bank strongroom, but could not succeed,” said senior inspector Vikash Sonawane of the Khar police station.

“After several hours, he noticed the CCTV camera. He disconnected the camera around 4.30pm. He took a mobile phone which was left behind by an employee of the bank. He fled from the bank around 10.30pm on Sunday” said Sonawane.
