After the Bombay High Court on Tuesday granted bail to 2008 Malegaon blasts accused Pragya Singh, Bhagwan Jha, her brother-in-law, said that while the order came as a relief to Sadhvi, her medical condition means she will still have to wait to celebrate her freedom after eight and half years of being jailed.

Bhagwan, who has been running pillar to post on the case recollects, "We were called from Bhopal to Mumbai on the plea made by the police to aid the investigation of the Malegaon 2008 case. Since it was in connection to serving our country, we approached the police on our own, but to our dismay, Sadhviji was placed under arrest by the police. She was kept under illegal detention for 13 days, where she was allegedly assaulted with fists and blows. Finally, when she refused to bow down to police pressure, she was produced before the court and placed under arrest."

He alleged, "It was a very well planned conspiracy of the government in which Sadhviji was trapped but she is a fighter, she did not buck under the police pressure, and now the result is out. Justice may have been delayed but we finally triumphed."
