Rabiya Khan, mother of deceased actress Jiah Khan, on Tuesday approached the UK's investigating agency, Scotland Yard, requesting them to investigate the alleged murder of her daughter. Rabiya has claimed that an acquaintance of hers had approached her with documents which would prove that Jiah did not kill herself and was murdered.

When dna called up Rabiya, she confirmed the development. “I am sure my daughter did not commit suicide and was murdered. Hence, I approached the Scotland Yard with the evidence, which someone had handed over to me. The investigating agency has informed me that it will register the complaint soon and investigate the matter,” she claimed.

Rabiya had earlier approached the US Ambassador to India Nancy Powell seeking the FBI's assistance in the probe. The FBI had agreed to lend a helping hand in the case provided India gave its consent.

On June 3, 2013, Jiah was found hanging in her Juhu residence. The police had arrested her boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi on the charge of abetment to suicide and filed a 447-page charge sheet in the case in January 2014. The charge sheet had claimed that Jiah's was not a murder case. Hence, Rabiya approached the international agency, pleading it to investigate the case.
