Any festival is incomplete without recognising the efforts of those who are celebrated. "Hence, ten women from Thane who have done exemplary work in various fields, will also be felicitated," adds Sawant.

To pay an ode to the feminine beauty, another NGO Samanvay Pratishthan has organised a beauty pageant `Ms Thane, Mrs Thane' and other activities under their Manasvini program.
