The Opposition wants the ministers indicted in the Adarsh panel’s report, including Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde, to resign on moral grounds. However, the saffron combine was also put to embarrassment as former Union minister of the Sena Suresh Prabhu and Rajya Sabha MP of the BJP Ajay Sancheti were also named in the report. They are among those who were ineligible to get flats in the building.
“If these people have any sense of moral responsibility, they must resign,” said BJP spokesperson Madhav Bhandari, adding, “Prithviraj Chavan came here because of the Adarsh issue. It was his responsibility to take the issue to its logical end.”
