Mumbai Crime Branch that is probing the racket of transfers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in Maharashtra is now probing role of an NGO in Borivli.
Police had arrested Ravindra Singh Yadav alias Sharma, Kishor Mali, Vishal Ombale and Vidyasagar Hirmukhe from a hotel in Mumbai on Thursday for allegedly trying to dupe Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Maharashtra, Namdeo Chavan by offering to facilitate a posting of his choice for a price.
As per police, two cheques of Rs 10 crore each that were found in possession of Yadav were issued by an NGO.
