More than 500 youths have come forward to join India Against Islamic State (IAIS), an outfit formed to fight the terror organisation IS. Several camps have been set up across the state, including the western suburbs in Mumbai, to train youths in martial arts and website hacking, while also providing them with counselling to counter terror activities both online and offline.

The outfit, mainly made up of members belonging to Hindu organisations, is set to fight terror online by gaining access to chat rooms and websites promoting IS.

Trainer and senior volunteer Vaibhav Raut said, "It is important that we be ready to fight terrorism to protect our motherland. We are getting a great response to our camps. We are giving training not only in martial arts, but also making sure that volunteers are capable of fighting terrorism online by gaining access to IS chat rooms and material, while also counselling youths to be aware of such violent activities."
