When I came to Happy Feet Home for an interview, I didn't know anything about a hospice. Trained as a nurse, I have always lived in Mumbai, and I have two young daughters.

Five days a week, I am focused on making each day a happy one for the children at our hospice. The thalassemia patients wait for me at the Sion hospital eagerly everyday. They want me to be physically present at the time of their blood transfusion. Their parents trust me.

Many of the children here don't have parents, and when I think of my daughters I know that they are loved. I want to give these children, many of whom don't have mothers, the same love.
