A day after the crash of a private helicopter near Filter Pada area of the Aarey Colony in Goregaon, the condition of one person remains critical and two others are stable.

While the pilot identified as Praful Mishra (53) was brought dead to the Seven Hills Hospital in Marol, three others - the technician Sanjeev Shankar and passengers Vrinda Modi (34) and her husband Ritesh Modi (35) remain under observation. 

“There is no change in their condition. There has been no improvement or deterioration in their health since they were admitted. While the wife has suffered from 30% burns, she is alert and conscious. Her husband remains critical. They will complete 48 hours under observation by Tuesday afternoon and we will be able to make any concrete comments only after that,” said Rajendra Karwa, medical superintendent of the hospital.

Shankar who suffered from multiple fractures in the crash is expected to undergo an operation in the coming day or two.
