In what could lead to a fresh controversy for the Congress in Mumbai, Nitesh Rane the son of senior Congress leader Narayan Rane today tweeted a slew of tweets targetting the Gujarati community in Mumbai.
Nitesh tweeted
kirit somaiya says all Gujju names went missing in the voters list..hope they r all found in Guj n Amchi Mumbai is freed frm the dhoklas!!!

After being tweeted at about the fact that Maharastrians who eat non veg have been facing various issues due to vegetarian neighbours from Gujarat, Nitesh went one step further stating
@aniket_phadke very interesting article..if they don't stop this we will distribute meat in black bags and keep them outside their doorsteps
— nitesh rane (@NiteshNRane) April 27, 2014
In recent times various Maharashtrians have faced issues in buying/renting properties in Gujarati dominated buildings in Mumbai due to some the non veg factor.
He further tweeted saying that Gujarati's should thank Mumbai for their success or return to Gujarat.
@abhijitmahire Yea so.let them thank our Mumbai and not try n take it over..or we have them pack them off to Gujarat

Earlier too Nitesh Rane had targetted the Gujarati community in Mumbai on Twitter and poked fun at them for being vegetarians. Nitesh Rane has been using the Marathi Manoos card to target the Gujarati community in an attempt to mock Narendra Modi for a while now, but his latest tweet threatening to leave bags of meat at the doors of Gujarati' folks seems really low even for someone like Nitesh Rane.
