After BJP's victory in Gujarat assembly election, the party's MP Sanjay Kakade, who had predicted BJP's loss on Monday stated that he is happy that prediction has gone wrong. Giving credit of Gujarat victory solely to the prime minister Narendra Modi," Kakade said, adding, "Modi is real hero and I am zero."

Kakade had predicted dismal performance of BJP in Gujarat elections. He had claimed that his team had carried out a survey in Gujarat and as per the outcome of the survey, the BJP would get enough number of seats to form government in the state.

However, after the results were out on Monday, Kakade stated that he is happy for party's win and gave credit to Modi. "There was an anti-incumbency factor in the state and I had said that in spite of negativity against the party in the state, if it still wins, the will be only because of Modi."

Meanwhile, Nana Patole, the MP who rebelled and quit the party said, "The BJP has miserably failed to achieve 150 plus target set by Amit Shah. This despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing over 34 poll rallies and the party pulling in chief ministers of BJP-ruled states, Union cabinet ministers and ministers from the state governments. The BJP's performance has been a reality check for the party."
