ICSE-affiliated schools from Thane have put up a good show in this year's Std X examinations. At 98.2 per cent, Avni Natu from Sulochanadevi Singhania School topped the city.

The mood was jubilant in other schools too in view of a good show. Vaibhav Pai made it to the top of the list in Hiranandani school and is followed by four students, all of whom have scored 96.3 per cent.

"Of 200 students, 94 have scored above 90 per cent. The students' hard work and perseverance by my staff helped them score such good marks," said Neelu Lamba, principal, Hiranandani School, adding that they were delighted.

Among the 54 students who appeared from Billabong School, Priyanka Bagwe topped with 95.2 per cent. "Apart from Priyanka, Aditi Vinzanekar has scored 94.60 per cent and is followed by Himani Thakkar at 94.20," said Deepika Das, the vice-principal.

It was the first time that Dnyan Ganga International from Kasarvadavali had a batch of Std X. The school saw a cent percent result and Himrekha Aggarwal topped the list with 92.5 per cent. "We are really happy with the result as this was our first batch," said Shivani Balodi, principal.

The celebratory atmosphere was slightly dampened at Lodha World School following a power failure on the premises. This resulted in the students getting dispersed as they went to cybercafes or looked for smartphones.
