Keeping in mind students’ aspirations, the first session of the Global Education Seminar will take place today at ML Dahanukar College in Vile Parle (East) from 11am to 1pm.

The Global Education Seminar — a series of free workshops at different colleges in the city — is being organised with the intent to help students receive quality education. The seminar will help students with the admission and application process, scholarships and bursaries, popular and new courses, as well as work experience, which is crucial for a person considering going abroad for higher education.

The seminar, presented by Bank of India, will cover destinations like US, UK, Australia, Canada and Singapore. Harvard alumna and dna’s in-house overseas education counsellor, Alisha Mashruwala, will help students out.

In addition to this, representatives of IMS, an institute that coaches students in competitive exams like GRE, TOEFL, and SAT among others, will guide the students on how to prepare for these tests.

The seminar will also have officials from Bank of India to provide information on education loans and overseas insurance. To answer queries on the visa process, dna has also invited visa officers from the US and Canada.
