Two days after a chartered plane crashed in Ghatkopar killing five people, family members of Pradeep Rajput, the pilot of the plane visited the accident spot on Saturday. They visited the site to figure out how the accident took place. They arrived at the spot hours before the mangled remains of the crashed plane were removed from the site.

Family members, including Rajput's son, visited accident spot after performing his last rites. They spoke to cops present at the site to know which way the plane approached from and where exactly it crashed.

At around 5 pm, people started removing debris from the accident site; it will be kept at Juhu airport for a few days.

An airport official said, "The debris will be kept at the Juhu airport for a few days until the investigation is complete."

Further, UY Aviation Private Limited, the firm that owned the crashed airplane, also initiated the process to claim insurance money on Saturday. The accident site was also inspected by surveyors on Saturday afternoon.

Captain Vinod Sai of UY Aviation said, "We have initiated the insurance claim procedure and it will cover everyone, along with the damage caused to the aircraft due to the accident." Sai added, "We do not have any intention of rebuilding or repairing the crashed chartered plane."

Meanwhile, officials from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) office along with those of Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), have said that investigations may conclude smoothly, considering the black-box has been recovered in a good condition.

"We should be able to come out with a report in 15 days. It takes time when the investigation is done with totally or partially-damaged black-box," said an official. Reports related to accidents are made public only after at least a year, or in certain cases, two to three years also.

Five persons, including four inside the aircraft, and a pedestrian lost their life after the plane took off from the Juhu airport at 12.20 pm on Thursday. It crashed at around 1.15 pm.
