"We had decided to make 10,000 such coins that will also be given to the devotees of the Sai Baba. They have to pay the value of the coin. We had also got the government approval for distribution of these coins," said Suresh Haware, President of Sai Baba Trust, Shirdi.

Haware said that this silver coin with an emblem of Sai Baba will be opened for public by Prime minister Narendra Modi on Friday at Shirdi.

"In the centenary year, we had celebrated various programmes. We had earmarked the budget of Rs 2000 crore for centenary year celebrations," he added.

Haware said that initially, they have made 10,000 coins.

"If the demand is more, more such coins will be made available for devotees. We have decided to charge only the basic value of the coin that is over Rs 1800 per coin. It is a moment of pride for us," said Haware.
