The third merit list for students seeking First Year Junior College (FYJC) admission will be declared on Tuesday. Officials from some colleges refused to reveal by how much cut-offs would come down in the third merit list; some believe they may not come down much.

The list was supposed to come out on Monday but got postponed due to Eid.

Principal of TP Bhatia College Sangeeta Srivastava said, "I don't think cut-offs in the third merit list will come down drastically. The third merit list is likely to have names of those students who didn't get admission in the first two lists."

The vice principal of a well-known college in the western suburbs said, "Tomorrow, the deputy director has called a meeting of Pravesh Niyantran Samiti members to discuss the online admission process. After that only we will be able to tell by how much cut-offs will dip."

Last week the deputy director's office had issued a circular for all junior and degree colleges on the admission process. It stated that some colleges were giving offline admissions to students, warning the latter to be cautious as such admissions could get cancelled if done by completely bypassing the online process.

The circular added that the Samiti would soon conduct an audit of the online admission process.
