FYJC admission: You can still apply for round three of First Come First Serve

The deputy director of education has issued a new timetable for the students who could not manage to get admission in FYJC.

After conducting two first-come, first-served (FCFS) admission rounds for junior college seats, the state education department will conduct another round for those who are still left without a seat in the city. The education department has issued a new schedule for the third round of First Come First Serve that started on September 19. This comes as a good news for students who are struggling to get admission in First Year Junior Colleges.

The deputy director of education has issued a new timetable for the students who could not manage to get admission in FYJC. Applicants who cancelled their admission during the previous process or have freshly registered on the portal can apply in FCFS round three declared on Tuesday night. Candidates who have received the Allow to Keep Term (ATKT) or got their admission rejected can also apply.

From September 19 to 22, the portal link will be open for students who wish to newly register or who have partially filled their registration form. The admission process will go on till September 29.

Higher authority from education department said, "Over 60,000 seats are vacant in city colleges. While there are many students who have got ATKT, there are quite a number of candidates who have not registered for the process."

This year 2.3 lakh students applied for FYJC admissions online in state board colleges, whereas the seats were 3.01 lakh in city colleges.
