FYJC admission: First merit list to be out on July 7

Students would be allowed to fill the online admission forms upto June 27.

The first merit list for admissions to First Year Junior College (FYJC) will be released on July 7 for colleges under the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The deputy directorate of Education released the schedule for FYJC admissions a day after the SSC results were declared. This year, over 3.8 students are eligible for admissions to FYJC in the Mumbai region. 

Students would be allowed to fill the online admission forms upto June 27. This year, the state education department has added over 13,000 seats and 39 new colleges for the upcoming academic year where students can apply and seek admission. 

 

With this, the total intake capacity for Mumbai has gone up to 2,92,090 from 2,78,282 last year, with a total of 13,808 more seats up for grabs. This year, the total number of colleges in the Mumbai division has also gone up from 739 to 778. 

The entire process of admission is expected to conclude by mid August.
