Reshma Shaikh's eyes were moist when she meet her college friend Mamta Sahu on Tuesday after a search of nearly three hours.
When the friends met they had a tight hug even as an overwhelmed Mamta started crying. With moist eyes Reshma and her mother Raziya assured her of every help possible.
Worried about her upcoming board exams, Mamta said that she has lost all her books and certificates in the fire. "I don't know how to study without books. My exams are just two months away," said Mamta.
Reshma and her mother offered her to come over to their place to study. "I couldn't sleep last night. We wanted to come and see her, but we were told that there was a total chaos. So, we waited for the morning. First thing in the morning, we rushed to see her," said Reshma.
Raziya said that girls were college friend. "What is the use of friendship if you don't help friends who are in need. We will help with whatever we can," she said.
Mamta, though breaking down often, was happy that all her college friends from R K College in Malad came to see her. "I feel that I have a real treasure – my friends. Many of them came to see me since the morning," said Mamta.
