Four from Mumbai killed near Pune

Four Mumbai residents, including three from a family, died on Monday after their car hit a truck on the Mumbai-Bangalore Highway near Pune. 

The police have identified the victims as Yashwant Mane (55), Sharada Yashwant Mane (46), Hrishikesh Yashwant Mane (20) and Krushna Surve. 

Mane family and Surve were all residents of Chunabhatti. 

According to Bharti Vidyapeeth police, the Mane family had gone to Satara to drop their daughter at a college. The accident took place when they were returning to Mumbai. 

“Hrishikesh was driving the car and when their car reached near Katraj tunnel in Jambhulwadi area, the car rammed into a truck that was travelling ahead of the car. The car was damaged badly and all the four occupants of the car got trapped inside,” said an officer from Bharti Vidyapeeth police station.
