Four days after the major fire in Kamala Mills, 10 out of the 16 injured victims have been discharged from Bhatia Hospital in Tardeo. The remaining six are still recovering at the hospital.

While one out of the two critically injured patients underwent skin grafting surgery, doctors are yet to decide whether the other patient with critical burns will need the same. A majority of the patients with minor burns suffered from 10 to 15 per cent burn injuries.

Dr Ashok Shah, plastic surgeon, Bhatia Hospital said, "They have to come for follow-ups and dressing every alternate day. Once the wounds heal, the patient will have to continue with post-treatment care for at least a year."

Out of then 10 discharged patients, five are women and five men. Four of the men and one woman were discharged on Monday.

According to the doctors, the patients do not need any counselling. Dr Shah stated, "There is no sign of trauma or psychological depression among the patients due to which we have not started any counselling for them. All of them are out of the shock."
