Art has no boundaries. It can make you fly on the wings of imagination and soar to the loftiest height of emotions unexplored realms. A series of paintings, titled ‘A Pale View of Hills’, will take you to the world of dream, make realise the spiritual aesthetics of life and death. The exhibition at the Jehangir Art Gallery, Fort, will be organised by Lalitha Lajmi.

Lajmi, an acclaimed artist and mother of filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi and sister of late Guru Dutt, will hold her 30th exhibition. The exhibition will start on February 27 and continue till March 5. The event will be inaugurated by Pheroza Godrej. People can visit the event from 11.00 to 7.00 pm. “My work is figurative and this exhibition is a continuation of the journey of works that I have exhibited in the past,” said Lajmi.

Well-known for her dexterity with watercolours, Lalitha had her first solo exhibition at the same gallery in 1961. In a career spanning five-and-a-half decades, she has displayed her work at a number of shows at both national and international level.
