The Yuva Sena protested at the Aditya Educational Campus in Borivali on Friday following a complaint by students from the Architecture stream. According to the students' complaint conveyed to the Yuva Sena, the college is charging them an extra fee of Rs 50,000 apart from the Rs 1,30,000 annual fees, without approval from the Fee Regulatory Authority.

Students have also allegedly lodged a complaint with the students wing that the college stopped the lift and air condition facility because the students did not pay the above fees.

While the college had declared a holiday on Friday, Yuva Sena decided to protest on the college campus and meet the officials to discuss the issue. Senate members of the Mumbai University also participated in the protest.

According to Yuva Sena, the Aditya College of Architecture has approval only for Rs 1,30,000 fees for this year. And yet, the college issued a notice on 30 August to pay Rs 51,000 as IT fees, guest lecture and seminar fees, extra curricular and student activities, cafeteria charges for Zeta card, and for club student membership.

The students have also complained that the college principal is never available for a meeting, and no fee receipt is provided to students, and the faculty also keeps on changing, which affect students studies etc. There was also a notice displayed for students in college that the lift will be closed between 7.30 am to 2.30 pm and 3 pm to 7 pm.

Sainath Durge, a member from the Yuva Sena Core Committee, said, "College is harassing students for unofficial fees which Yuva Sena will not tolerate. Aditya college is in education minister Vinod Tawde's constituency who does not know such irregularities happening in the college and cannot give justice to students then how he will give justice to students across the state."

DNA tried to meet the officials but they were not available. However, the college trustee Ashish Mishra has written a letter to Yuva Sena Chief Aditya Thackeray (copy with DNA) stating that the college will resolve the issue in a positive manner on the above issue.
