The Bandra police, probing the alleged suicide of 29-year-old pianist Karan Joseph, has allegedly found a substance they suspect to be drugs in the apartment from which he jumped to his death. Samples of the substance have been sent for analysis to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Kalina. Meanwhile, his father has demanded a thorough investigation by the police.

Joseph, a well-known pianist in the music industry, allegedly jumped to his death from Concord building in Bandra West on Saturday morning. Joseph was living in the flat along with his friend Rishi Shah.

Thomas Joseph, Karan's father, said, "We were in touch with him throughout but he never showed any signs of depression. The police have to probe this case so that we too can understand what pushed him to end his life."

Joseph's friends too demanded a thorough probe stating that they suspected foul play. "We cannot believe that it's a case of suicide. Police has to take this case to a logical conclusion," said a musician who worked with Joseph.

Police Sub Inspector and investigation officer, Sachin Choudhary, said, "It is not confirmed who was using the drugs. We have also seized Shah's cellphone which will be sent for forensic analysis."
