A group of 15 men and women from Churu district near Bikaner in Rajasthan came all the way to Green Acres in Lokhandwala to get a last glimpse of Sridevi. Every year the group comes to Mumbai to play Holi but this year they have decided not to celebrate the festival in memory of the deceased actress.

They learned about the actress' address from television news channels. "We are staying in Versova at our relative's home. So immediately we left and came here hoping to see Sridevi," said Sunny Titania.

Most of the men and women are in the between the ages 21 and 30. They arrived in the city a few ago and will leave after Holi. "Every year we come to Mumbai to see and enjoy Holi. However this year we will not participate in the festival as such a great actress has passed away," said Gogi Bidiyan.

The group said that even now they have cassettes and CDs of Sridevi's films. They claim to have watched most of her movies — be it Mr India, Lamhe or the latest English Vinglish. "The district where we stay is close to the desert. We do not get to enjoy any festival with such fanfare so we come down with friends from our village during Holi," said Vinod Adlania.

Each year for Holi they head to places where Bollywood stars celebrate the festival. They wait outside to catch a glimpse of these actors and actresses at the entrance and play Holi on the road. The group will now take the train back home this weekend after Holi.
