In a freak accident, a 40-year-old man succumbed to severe head injuries after a brick fell on his head from an under-construction site at Dongri. The Dongri police have registered a case against the responsible person for causing death due to negligence and will make the arrest after investigations.

According to police, Bhavesh Vyas, a resident of Andheri, and an employee with a transport company was standing underneath Bhailal Bhavan at Keshavji Marg near Chinchbunder when suddenly a brick fell on his head. Vyas fell down and was bleeding profusely. Passersby rushed to help him and took him to the nearby hospital.

Sandeep Bhagdikar, Senior Police Inspector, Dongri police station, said, "We have registered a case under section 304(A) (causing death due to negligence) of the Indian Penal Code against the person responsible for the incident. We are probing the case further and the arrest will be made after the role of the contractor or supervisor is probed."
